Artist Bio
Jack Puluka (he / she) is a Central Jersey native with a deep adoration for showcasing personal stories. As a Montclair State University graduate with his BFA in Dance & minor in Filmmaking; she has worked with artists such as Garret Coleman, Jessie DiMauro, Christian Von Howard, Stefanie Batten Bland, Paul Taylor Company, Darrah Carr, Sean Curran, Urban Bush Women, Donna Scro & Dolly Sfeir. Jack strives to merge humanity with movement. Amplifying human experiences with the commingle of different art forms. His choreography has been shown at The Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) Animation Festival, Montclair State University’s (MSU) “Dance Makers” & “Creative Collaborations” performances, "Modern Moves" 2023, & winning best experimental film at the Pittsburg Moving Picture Festival for his film "Bandaid". Jack aims to continuously explore the art of redefining storytelling through theater & multimedia for all audiences.
Jack strives to merge humanity with movement through storytelling. She is continuously exploring the art of amplifying community through dance theater. Using Dance Film as a medium for exploration, experimentation, & expression for all audiences to indulge in an extension of real life.
Puluka Projects is an experimental dance theater company that uses film as a way of framing the human existence. Combining art mediums in an effort to expand viewers & participants perception of movement in conjunction to storytelling. Creating a space where others feel seen both personally & as creative artists themselves.
