Jack Puluka (he/she)

is an award winning experimental dance filmmaker &

central Jersey based choreographer. She graduated Montclair State University with his B.F.A. in Dance & Minor in Dance Film. Founder of Puluka Project Productions, an arts for artists organization merging dance, theater & film through workshops, performances & online exhibitions. His work has been showcased at Dance New Jersey’s Show Up & Dance (Montclair), the Williams Center Modern Moves (Rutherford), Pittsburg Thriller Film Festival (PA), Dance Makers (Montclair), Creative Collaborations (Montclair), & the MICA Animation Festival (Michigan). Puluka Projects has been featured on Uncle Bobs Magic Cabinet podcast for being awarded best experimental film at the Pittsburg Thriller Film Fest & on Hawk Plus alumni interview series at Montclair State University. She’s worked closely with Darrah Carr & Sean Curran, premiering “Ceili” at the New York Irish Arts Center & Jacob's Pillow Summer Series. Currently working with Freespace Dance performing across the Mid-Atlantic Region, & leading workshop residencies with

Darrah Carr Dance in Iowa, New York, Chicago, Maryland & more.

Puluka Projects Productions

is an experimental dance theater company

that uses film as a way of framing the human existence. Our work blends art mediums to amplify storytelling through exploration, experimentation, & personal expression. Creating supportive environments for both students & audiences of all ages to freely indulge in dance, theater & film as an extension of real life. 

Our Services

        Puluka Projects offers videography & editing services for artists looking to expand their work from the stage to cinema. Creating customized film packages for each unique project to amplify the original work through stylized cinematography.

        We also offer a variety of dance, theater, and film workshops for students of all ages, from K-12 to seniors, & public or private events. We share the gift of movement through social dance, theater for all ages, or workshops in storytelling through film.
        Puluka Projects creates custom workshop packages based on the length of each client's program at a rate of $50 an hour. Each class is catered towards dance, theater, or film, curated specifically for each client & event. We have been happy to work with Hillsborough, Bound Brook, Quail Brook, & Randolph Senior Centers on curated community programs!

Mission Statement

of diversity, equity & inclusion for both BIPOC & the LGBTQ+ communities. Promoting art & artists that uplift marginalized stories through dance theater & cinematography. Amplifying perspectives that have been commonly overlooked or misinterpreted through marginalization. Creating safe spaces for students & audiences alike to indulge in an extension of everyday life. Exploring the ways in which different art forms inform one another.
